The interior doesn’t look like much, the choice of naming is strange, but this little place is the #1 spot for good Japanese food in Vilnius.
They only serve weekday lunch specials. Forget getting a Western take on sushi. It’s everyday Japanese dishes prepared by chef Keishi Yamauchi, and that’s him and his wife you’ll see in the kitchen – it’s only ever this team of two here.
There’s a ritual to follow if you want to get a meal, though.
At 10:00, a pic of the day’s menu will appear on their Facebook page. Make your choice, and call in to pre-order. Tell them when you’ll get here, and you’ve got things sorted.
Alternatively, show up right when they open – 11:30. If you make it here past 12:00, all the food will be gone.
It may seem like a lot of trouble for a meal, but all that fresh seafood melting in your mouth will make you forget all about it. Drop by – you’ll find them in the basement of the building’s inner yard.
