Getting your daily products like veggies, meat, cheese and other stuff from the best spots in town is extremely important. Know the local market places and shops, that’s what a local must do. And if you, as a guest of the city know these places too – karma points earned!
This time, it’s a trusty bakery in my neighborhood. No nonsense, no sky high prices, no over-complicated recipes – that’s the way to roll. The produce is freshly baked each day. If you’re aware of their baking schedules you’ll even be able to buy some stuff straight from the ovens, which is most likely just when they open. Personally, if I don’t have much time to make myself breakfast, this is the go to place to grab something sweet or salty to save my belly from ringing bells.
And by the way – Prezo bakery is one of the easiest spots to find. You just need to find Halės market (check out my article about it here) and when you step through the main entrance, turn right – and you’re there. A favorite of mine and a recommendation for you is the Canelé, but be careful, you can gobble down more than a few of these sweeties on a good day and they do pack great amounts of butter.
