Some ten years ago I got a summer job as a barrista in one nice café in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. I must say it was a dream job. It was the place where I learned what a good coffee is and how to make it. It was a place where I tasted chai latte for the first time. I fell in love with it. I was so sad that I could not find it anywhere in Lithuania for years. So you can imagine how excited I was when Vero Café opened and started making this delicious drink. Besides, I think that Vero makes the best frappe in Vilnius. It’s my summer’s go to drink.
Vero Café has a number of spots in Vilnius and across the country, but my favorite spot is the one next to the Town Hall. It is called Coffee Theatre (Kavos teatras). The café is dedicated to National Lithuanian Drama Theatre and its history. There you can find all the information about current premiere performances of the theatre and the current repertoire.
The cafe has its own outdoor patio, which is decorated with a graffiti of fairy tale “Pinocchio”.
