Warsaw’s city centre is a very busy area; bars and restaurants pop up every month, but the majority of them lack specific character. I have the impression that it is very hard to find new-old spots, places with atmosphere, with a special flavor, with a specific music taste.
Gemba bar in Srodmiescie area can offer this specific atmosphere. After a long break, I went back to this place, and it was great. Gemba bar is a brother of the Szpakowska bar also located in Srodmiescie. It’s a small two-floor spot that serves Polish-style tapas, has a large choice of drinks and beers and pictures from your beloved TV shows from the ’80s/’90s, MacGyver, Bold and Beautiful, Baywatch…
I like the place for the nostalgia of the ’90s, in fact, the style of the bar seems to not be adapting to the current trends in the city, and guess what? It’s great! Its unique character in music choices and the friendly staff will make your night. Don’t be afraid of dancing, once you start everybody else will do the same.
