It’s official: Relaks is my favourite café in Warsaw (and not only because it’s just opposite my home, but because they have THE greatest coffee in Warsaw). And it’s growing bigger. This summer people just started to take chairs out on the street and to occupy parking spaces :).
I always dreamed about a friendly café near my home – you know, like in all those movies, where a heroine just drops by her favorite place and they already have her cappuccino prepared. And I never thought that that dream would come true (well almost, I stopped drinking cappuccino after I tried their flat white).
If you’re a coffee-addict here you can care for your addiction with chemex, chocolate terror (double espresso with chocolate), or “same as yesterday” – which is the best summer coffee ever (espresso, sugarcane syrup, milk and ice). If you aren’t a big coffee-fan try lemonade, chocolate with chilli or shakes. Add to that homemade cakes (really homemade, I know something about it), vegan sandwiches, muffins, and tarts – and you won’t leave the place for a long time.
The sixties-like entourage adds to the final touch. Furniture here is collected and restored. And every month there is a new poster exhibition from the vast collection of Piotr Dabrowski (who lives on the other side of the street and who you can make an appointment with to buy posters that you really like – some of them are unique!).
Just come inside: sit, talk, drink, eat, work, read, and relax.
