I had heard a lot of recommendations for this place, and as I am in love with Israeli cuisine, it didn’t take long for me to visit Berek. I planned to go there for breakfast, as they have this great (very popular in Warsaw) promo that you can get breakfast for free if you buy coffee between 08:00 – 11:00. Unfortunately none of my friend is an early bird so I ended up with a lunch menu — also a great deal!
Every day between 11:00 – 15:00 there’s lunch for 19.00 zloty containing a starter, a main dish and a dessert. It is more then enough, even for a gourmand. There are options for meat lovers and for vegans.
The main dish is mostly different kinds of shupid, which is kind of meat shish kebab in spices, but they also have a vegetarian option, which was delicious. The place is very big and sunny with an Israeli atmosphere and very friendly staff. I’m definitely going back for breakfast. I’ve heard that the pizza with shakshuka on top is one of the best breakfasts in Warsaw. And it goes for free! With any coffee! Sounds perfect.
