ANXO Cidery & Pintxos – Ciders & small plates

This Basque cidery is a great addition to Shaw. They offer 3 different types of flights: the Anxo, the Boozy, and the Vintage Calvados, which is a fun way to try a bunch of ciders without having to commit. I would also recommend one of the sagardoa & sierra menu items. These ciders are served in a special bottle which are meant to be poured into your class from height (be prepared to miss your glass the first time!)

Anxo also has delicious pintxos (Basque for “tapas”): think olives, manchego, sheep’s milk cheese, jamón, etc. While the pintxos are a good snack, you really need to order a bunch to make it a meal. It’s best to do as the Spaniards do and eat a few small appetizers while enjoying the company.

One more note: I highly recommend going when the weather is nice. They have a great outdoor space!
