Bardo Washington DC

Bardo – Beer garden close to Nats Park

Bardo is the perfect, low-key spot to grab a beer and hang out with some friends before a Nats game. In fact, they often plan their hours around Nats Game days, opening 2 hours before every game starts. That being said, even if you are not a baseball fan, this is still a great spot to post up. They don’t offer food but are totally cool with people bringing their own food and snacks.

It is located right across the street from the stadium and is on the Anacostia river. Although the tables and seating are a bit rough around the edges (it looks as if the owner picked up a bunch of tables/seats from a junkyard), there is a ton of space for activities including cornhole.

They offer a pretty extensive list of beer on tap including an imperial stout, a few brown ales, several IPAs and lagers. My favorite is the ginger lager on a nice, sunny day.

If you are okay with a non-luxurious (but awesome, in my opinion) beer garden in the area, this is your spot!
