Cafe Saint-Ex Washington DC

Cafe Saint-Ex – Parisian Cafe in D.C.

Saint Ex is one of my favorite cafes in the whole city. It is located on the corner of 14th and T St NW. It occupies a beautiful prewar building on a bustling corner. I love going there, having a drink and people watching.

The décor inside is very European. Saint Ex models itself after Parisian cafes. A curtain drapes over the door to the entrance. There are clocks displaying the times in cities all over the world. I like the atmosphere here. It’s absolutely a place to come alone for a drink. You feel like you’re in a Hemingway novel.

Further back from the bar they have dinner seating. Dinner plates are around $20 and feature local cuisine. They have beer on tap and a wonderful cocktail menu. For happy hour, food is discounted and all beers on tap are $2 off. I recommend a pilsner and their confit grilled chicken wings.
