The Colada Shop offers a quick light Cuban dining experience that’s perfect for the summertime and a nice respite in the winter. Situated right off of 14th street, The Colada Shop is impossible to miss. Its brightly colored store front with bright red outdoor seating is incredibly inviting.
The Colada Shop is a cocktail bar and cafe and the first place I ever got to experience a “pastelito.” A pastelito is a Cuban puff pastry dish that can have a sweet or savory filling. I’m a huge fan of the guava and cheese pastelito and beef empanadas. The empanadas are incredibly flavorful and the pastelito is out of this world. The menu also includes croquetas, Cuban sandwiches, salads, desserts, and more.
When the weather is chilly, you can find seating on the first floor of The Colada Shop in a well-decorated anterior lounge space. There you can find a soft couch to sip some of the deliciously sweet Cuban coffees. On a beautiful warm day, head upstairs to the rooftop garden and sip on a mojito or any of the seasonal crafted cocktails.
The Colada Shop is a great place to kick back and spend time with friends or to grab a quick bite.
