Walking into Echostage is always a surreal experience. The largest nightlife concert venue in the DC area can hold up to 3,000 people and hosts DJs, local performers, and other events.
Fans of electric music and dancing will really appreciate the expansive open set-up that Echostage features. The first time I went to Echostage was for a DC Pride opening party in 2018. I didn’t truly understand the size of the venue until I entered the upstairs VIP area that wraps around and overlooks the dance floor and stage. It was truly incredible to see thousands of people just dancing and enjoying themselves on the floor below.
Be sure to bring comfortable shoes for dancing if you attend a show at Echostage. Popular acts such as Tiesto, Calvin Harris, and Armin van Buuren have performed there and the last time I was there I saw Diplo.
When your feet get tired, head to either of the 60-foot long bars to grab a drink and soak in the music. If you want to be able to relax a bit more, Echostage offers table and bottle service on the upper-level.
The best way to get to the venue is via uber or car as the closest metro is almost 2 miles away. If you visit Echostage’s website, you can reserve a discounted parking spot via SpotHero.
There is truly no other venue like Echostage in Washington, DC and it’s a place that music lovers have to go to at least once.
