Kapnos – Greek brunch

There are so many options when it comes it comes to brunch. I can’t always be expected to be able to decide between sweet and savory, especially on a lazy weekend. However, Kapnos on 14th Street combines two of my favorite things when it comes to brunch: Greek food and small plates meant for sharing. There’s also an all you can eat option for $39.

The first order of business at Kapnos is ordering one of the many spreads which all come with flatbread. My go to is the fresh tzatziki which perfectly kicks off the meal. Then order your hearty dishes including gyros, egg dishes, and sweet treats. I switch up what I order every time I go but my favorite egg dish is the Stone Oven Baked Eggs. It’s filled with lamb and potatoes. It easily shareable but feels like a well rounded breakfast meal in one dish. There’s also plenty of great sweets to choose from like baklava parfait and Greek coffee French toast.

Kapnos serves brunch both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 15:00.
