I discovered Little Red Fox when I was on the hunt for a cozy, neighborhood lunch spot. The restaurant is a little bit of a trek from Tenleytown metro but it is worth it. The rustic decor, community seating, and friendly staff make it feel like you are having lunch at a friend’s house.
Little Red Fox serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner but my favorite time to visit is breakfast and lunch. The menu rotates weekly so you’ll always be eating in season. However, they usually have some sort of grilled cheese and tomato soup combo which I love. They also have hardy egg sandwiches to kick off your day in the city. On weekends, they serve breakfast until 16:00 so you can enjoy late brunch without worrying about making a reservation somewhere.
Little Red Fox is also very active in the community. You can keep up with their activities and rotating menu on Instagram (@littleredfoxdc).
