It is tough to find a bottomless brunch in this city for less than $35. Many brunches can run as much as $55 or more. But Penn Commons in Chinatown offers a 2 course prix fixe brunch with bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary’s for $31. 2 course brunch without alcohol is also available for $17. It is one of the first inexpensive places I think of when I have friends or family in town.
The prix fixe brunch includes an entree with either an appetizer or an entree. Most of the apps, like my favorite barbecue chicken spring rolls, are not breakfast inspired. It’s a nice change from the usual suspects during brunch. However, breakfast favorites make a return for the entrees. My favorites are the Cast Iron Huevos Rancheros and the Eggs Benedict. If you are a dessert person, skip the apps and order a dessert. I can never resist the gooey Nutella Cream Puffs.
Penn Commons serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
