If you are looking for a quick, delicious meal around the Farragut West or McPherson Square areas, you are in luck. Sure, there are the easy grab and go chains to pick something up on the run, but your best bet would be to stop in Rice Bar.
This Korean Bibimbap fast food joint is one of my favorites in DC. The line may be long, but they move fast and you will be happy you waited a few minutes. Once you enter the restaurant, look at the chalkboard to see what your options are. You can choose something by name or grab a checkbox menu and a pencil to make your own with a base, protein, four veggies and toppings.
I prefer to make my own noodle bowl full of veggies topped with an egg. If you are a meat eater, I highly suggest the bulgogi! Also, if you enjoy spicy, make sure you get the soy chili oil. You will thank me – it’s amazing! The staff is very welcoming and the seating opens up pretty quickly. Do not let this crowded restaurant scare you away; the people in line know it’s worth every second when they sit down with their meal.
