The Wydown is a coffee bar with two locations in two very “cool” DC neighborhood. One is located in a very up and coming area in DC, H street. The other is where I find myself today, overlooking 14th street and sipping a turmeric and tonic tea to keep me warm from the cold weather.
The Wydown is as eclectic as it gets. It offers local juices, dairy products, and more as well as delicious baked good combinations including a raspberry lavender scone, which I highly recommend. The teas and coffees are priced from $3 to $6 with the large matcha latte being the only $6 beverage.
It’s got all of the essentials of a successful DC coffee shop, local goods, modern aesthetic, and interesting ingredient combinations (read: tumeric and tonic).
Whether you need a place to relax and get some work done or you’re figuring out where next in DC to go, the Wydown is perfect. Join the community table with all the people tapping away at their keys on their laptops or grab a stool at the coffee bar to sip on your drink and make conversation with any of the incredibly personable baristas.
