Union Market is essential to the DC experience. Located in the northeast quadrant of DC, it’s one stop away from Union Station and in sight of Capitol Hill.
Union Market is open year-round and is the one-stop shop to eat, drink, and buy incredibly cute things. The market is open to some major DC favorites including ArepaZone, DC Dosa, District Doughnut, Puddin’, Salt & Sundry, and TaKorean.
You can find Union Market amongst a bevy of warehouses by NoMa-Gallaudet metro station. The market appears to be in a warehouse itself but the giant Union Market sign is what sets it apart from all of the others. Outside, you’ll find picture-worthy murals and art. Inside, you’ll find an incredibly open space that makes it easy to peruse through the offerings of each vendor.
Union Market isn’t just a place to find knickknacks. You can also find gourmet charcuterie, homeware, and gifts to take back for friends and family (or just yourself, no judgment here!)
The market is also home to various pop-ups and events. Angelika Pop-Up is Union Market’s cinema that shows films you’ll find in a regular cinema but with the delicious offerings that Union Market restaurants have.
Be sure to check Union Market’s calendar for events when you plan your visit. Even if there is nothing happening, you’ll be sure to have an incredible experience.
