Zagreb is full of cafes, as sitting down for a coffee is a favorite pastime of its citizens. Recently, there have been more and more cafes with a “living room” feel to it, a place to spend your whole day if you feel so inclined, a place where you feel like home. One such place is Kim’s coffee, just a few steps away from Kvaternik Square. It is a small cafe with around 10 tables inside, and 3 tables on its small but charming terrace.
Kim’s coffee offers various (and I do mean various) flavors of hot beverages, as well as tasty pancakes, croissants, cakes and toasts. Every table is different from the other, some offering a private seating for two, others having sofas where a whole group of friends can fit. All the tables, as well as decorations, are very cosy and homey.
My favorite drink is the Oreo hot chocolate, which is (as you can tell from its name), hot chocolate with Oreo cookies in it and on top of the cream. It is delicious. Also, when I really want to indulge, I order pancakes with Lino Lada (nougat cream similar to Nutella, only better, but you can opt for Nutella, too) and bananas. The cafe has free wifi and electricity outlets for computers, so I take my laptop with me sometimes and just enjoy.
