I have a weakness for creative people. People that want to make a difference. That dare to avoid a safe way of living and spend theirs looking for concepts to amaze the rest of us while keeping the world in harmony.
Flying clothing racks. High ceilings over wooden floors surrounded by industrial architecture. The first time I passed by Lola Fred I held on to my purse thinking I was entering a posh boutique. To my amusement, a lady dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt came to greet me. I got it then. They promote quite the opposite. They want you to chill.
Lola Fred is a yoga-inspired shop / studio selling easy-going-style clothing and accessories made of organic materials such as cotton and bamboo, which are produced in a sustainable way.
Throughout the day, the racks are magically airlifted to become a large yoga studio fully equipped with showers and changing rooms. Free yoga mats, shower gels and hairdryers are also offered, which makes for a very convenient in-and-out with the day concept.
Having purchased one or two things, I have to say that the fabric is soft and delicate to the skin and the cut of the clothing is stylish, but stays true to its comfortable motto. Whether you are a yoga aficionado looking for a stylish new pair of yoga pants, or just a plain curious creature like me looking for a hoodie to accompany my Saturday strolls, Lola Fred will make sure to chill you out.
