Everyone knows about my love for meat. From my work mates who see me snack on ham in the afternoon, to my veggie friend who buys meat when I visit her. They know that when it comes to choosing the gentleman’s cut or the lady’s cut, I’m no lady.
Nowadays, finding a place where you can enjoy a delicious piece of high quality meat that is produced in a sustainable way is luxury. To my pleasure, and of all meat lovers out there, there is AuGust Boucherie.
AuGust will not be your cup of tea if meat is not your thing. Here cows and pigs run the show. A butchers’ dream to be more precise.
Grilled meat, sausages, charcuterie – most of it locally produced – share a beautifully decorated black and white room with hanging hams, iron pans, rustic blackboards and the love for hearty food. Beautiful to the eye and belly.
My recommendation, try Le Grand Plat AuGust, a variation of sausages and meat specialities to share. It also comes with some veggie side dishes, but I thought of them as the girl who no one cares to invite to the party, but still came along.
Yes, eating a big plate of sausages and meat might not be the healthiest alternative out there but who cares. The time to watch what I eat will come eventually. For now, my carnivorous self just wants to rejoice on it and for this AuGust is the perfect option.
