The Steinfels is a nice, spacious restaurant that offers a range of really tasty self brewed beer. The brewery is actually just next door and you can even watch them create the beer.

If you’re hungry you can get great burgers (the veggie I tried for myself, for the others I trust my friends’ judgment) and epic, tasty salads. They really put some effort into those. The California Salad has avocado, mango, grapefruit, cottage cheese and fresh mint and caramelized nuts in it – I think you know what I’m talking about by now.

And, for all you true beer aficionados: you can book a guided tour through the brewery during their normal opening hours if you’re a group of at least six people. Chose between a small, medium or a big tour that includes everything you need to know about the history of beer brewing in Zurich west and, of course, a tasting of said beer (mmmmh, beer).
