Nowadays everything is digital. You shoot 10 pictures and choose the best, edit it with a filter and post it online. Great development, but the funny, spontaneous pictures are gone since you can reconsider your pose with every shot. For those who, like me, love photograpy; Impossible is a must see!
To me the shop is beautiful; minimalistic yet colourful. I just love the contrast of a modern interior design and vintage products on the shelves. Impossible is dedicated to instant photography and the shop sells mainly vintage Polaroid camera’s and accessories. It’s great to see all the different old camera’s and the staff is more than happy to explain you the features of a particular model.
I like to drop by every now and then, because apart from the shop they have a small gallery in the back. The expositions are always based on instant photo’s and it changes every two months. To me it is like a very accessible, tiny, art gallery. Add the fact that they have a nice collection of books dedicated to instant photography and it makes it a regular stop for me.
Every time I walk inside I get more and more tempted to buy a vintage Polaroid. But even if you don’t want to buy a camera, go and have a look! Plenty of accessories, books and cards for the photography lover to make it worth the visit!
