Best Paris Blogs 2021 – Selected by Locals!

We asked our very own Paris bloggers about their favorite independent Paris blogs & websites. Here’s a list of their tips in alphabetical order!

Invisible Paris

Invisible Paris is a blog by Adam (one of our very own Spotters!) filled with secret and off-the-beaten-path spots found in Paris. One of the great features on this blog is the walking tours with original and unconventional themes such as the female experience of the city and street art. If you’re looking for a refreshing look at the city this blog is definitely worth checking out.

HiP Paris Blog

If you’re looking for a comprehensive and easy to navigate blog about a variety of things to do, see and experience while in Paris, then check out HiP Paris Blog! This blog is run by a team of dedicated locals who want to provide readers with insider tips and tricks on what to check out while in Paris. The content that they provide varies from travel in Paris, where to eat, events to keep an eye on, and even offers a selection of apartments and ho(s)tels at which to stay!

La Trentaine Parisienne

Great food and drink aren’t hard to find in a city like Paris, which is world-renowned for its cuisine, but it often can lead to making difficult decisions on what to eat and where to eat in the lovely city. This is why a blog such as La Trentaine Parisienne (in French – translation here) is a great site to check out to get locals’ picks and preferences for some of the best bars, cafes, and restaurants within Paris!

Lost in Cheeseland

Lost in cheese land is about the best name for a blog that we have ever heard about. This blog is run by Lindsey, she’s a writer and journalist and that really shows in her blogposts. She really dives deep into the stories behind people and different spots. She has a whole guide on things to do in Paris and even has her own book about the city!

Mama Loves Paris

Mama Loves Paris is a refreshingly honest blog that takes the perspective of a parent in the city of Paris and the spots it offers. There are not many blogs that focus on this perspective, so it can be hard to find tips for traveling with a family. Mama Loves Paris has got traveling parents covered, there are tips for activities for children but also nice places to check out for the parents!

My Parisian Life

My Parisian life is run by Yanique. She moved to Paris from New York in 2007. The blog started out of the excitement of everything new she discovered around the city. Today it provides a huge archive of amazing spots in the city. Find weekly to-dos and many reviews of the best and trendiest restaurants, bars, coffee shops and discover stories on neighborhoods and Parisians right here, every day.

Paris Food Affair

Paris Food Affair is a great blog run by a local with a true passion for the city of Paris. The blog revolves around great places to eat that are not in your typical tourist guide, places to have a nice drink and just good pictures and lovely stories to read. I think the best part of this blog is the love that the blogger has for Paris, the best spots to visit always come from those with a great love for a city!

Secrets of Paris

Established in 1999, the Secrets of Paris is one of the oldest independent and locally-owned websites about Paris in English. They offer alternative news and original stories on Parisian life. They combine that with unique local spots, reviews and recommendations from an insiders perspective. They aim both at residents and visitors.

Yanidel Street Photography

When it comes to blogs about the colors of Paris, the lifestyle of the city, or just pictures of daily life through the eye and lens of a local cameraman, Yanidel Street Photography is a blog-worthy of high praise. This blog provides daily images of the life, culture, and people of Paris, and has several ongoing projects about the colors of Paris during different seasons, street fashion, odds and mysteries of the city, and interesting Parisian landmarks!
