Portland local? Help us start a blog for your city!

Portland (by Andrey Yachmenov)

One of the next city guides we would like to launch as part of our mission of promoting authentic culture is Portland!

‘The City of Roses’ welcomes millions of people every year. However, of all these tourists, few get to truly understand Portland. More often than not, they stop at the tourist attractions and see nothing past. That’s why we need you, Portland locals, to show them what your city really is about.

Portland is often associated with a variety of different things, from its local coffee and food trucks, to its many green spaces or even strip clubs (as Portland has the most strip clubs per capita of any city in the US). It also boasts some great tourist highlights such as the Washington Park, Columbia River Gorge, International Rose Test Garden, and Portland Japanese Garden, to name a few. As a result, it does garner the attention of many curious tourists, but these tourists rarely take the time to explore the less popular areas of Portland. But how do you, as a local, view Portland? What do you wish more people knew about it?

So what is it like to experience Portland like a local? Where can you get the best coffee or local seafood? Where do locals relax or celebrate? This is what we and many travelers want to know!

Are you a Portland loving local?

We aim to show visitors (and locals!) the real culture of Portland beyond the tourist highlights. We are looking for locals who’d like to share their passion and spread the word about Portland by blogging about their favorite spots. Browse around our current 80+ city blogs and learn more about our amazing community & vision!
