Sometimes, I have those falafel cravings that won’t let go. So a few weeks ago, I ended up picking up a friend from her office and we stopped by Falafel Joseph in Sin El Fil. You can order a ready-to-eat sandwich, which would be prepared in front of you the Speedy Gonzalez way, or you could decide you prefer to make your own sandwich(es) at home. Falafel Joseph is a snack with no seating area. I wouldn’t want to stand there for long or even sit as it smells of fried falafel and I hate when my clothes stink.
Several years ago, Falafel Joseph broadened his menu and opened a “restaurant” a couple of hundred meters away. The restaurant serves one of the tastiest chicken shawarma in town! I haven’t had this since I became a vegetarian but I can recommend you try it. The beef shawarma used to be good but other joints have good beef shawarma too. Also on the expanded food list are various sandwiches and salads.
Next time you feel like a falafel sandwich or a crispy on the outside and yet tender chicken shawarma, make sure you pay Falafel Joseph a visit. 🙂
