Even though Krakow has many cafes, there are only a few I like returning to regularly.  Królowa przedmieścia is one of them and it’s named after a Polish film from the ’30s.

This is definitely one of the smallest and prettiest cafes you will find in Krakow. The interior is strongly inspired by the decorative style that was predominant in Poland between 1890 and 1918.  I love the strong geometric forms in the colors of black and white but the best part is the original terrazzo floor.

In the summertime, locals gather in the pedestrian street right outside the cafe and take a break from the day, but in the winter I like to sit inside and take in the cool vibe of the interior.

The cafe is not located very close to where I live so I usually visit on the weekend for a coffee and something sweet. Here, I can always choose between a variety of high-quality specialty coffees; this is why I prefer to order plain black coffee so that I can fully experience the taste. The desserts change depending on the season, but a chocolate and peanut butter cookie stole my heart.

I couldn’t finish this article without saying how dog-friendly this cafe is, so if you ever want to visit you can definitely do so with your pet friend.
