“A joint initiative between various players of the Amsterdam art scene” Amsterdam Art is the place to go for any information on the contemporary art scene in Amsterdam. Here you can find the best info on galleries, museums and on the Amsterdam Art Weekend, held annually in the last weekend of November!
Your Little Black Book
Your Little Black Book started as a fun project by Amsterdam local Anne, and gained so much popularity that Anne is now a full-time blogger. She gets paid by making press trips all over the world, and advertising cool hotspots in the city. But most of her recommendations are her personal favorites – very cool ones – in her city Amsterdam. Ask anybody about the most well-known blogger in Amsterdam and they’ll probably mention this very nice blog!
A resourceful blog with information, interviews, albums and photos, Indie Indie (Dutch) is great if you want to find out more about indie music or what’s coming around to Amsterdam.
As a platform for upcoming artists, Subbacultcha also hosts a magazine and runs a label with their own music! The website contains information on events, exhibitions and a nifty membership pass that allows you to enter all their events for a reasonable price!
Vicky Hampton, a Brit living in Amsterdam, has been blogging about food in Amsterdam since 2007. And she even published a cookbook! We love her funny and extensive reviews of restaurants.
An Amsterdam guide with a sweet touch on it’s writing, Mrs Mokum delivers a great variety of articles on the city, markets, food, art and music. Interesting fact: before the website premiered it even had its own trailer, check it out!
