For some reason the area around central bus and train stations are always stupidly empty of good bars and restaurants. It’s always junk and over-prized beers, right?
That’s why I want to give you a good tip on where to go, within a few minutes time (to a hidden spot), while waiting for a delayed transfer from Copenhagen Central Station… or just for the fun of it.
Literally across the street is a hotel called Plaza – pretty respectable place as far as I know. For sure the bar is certainly an advantage to uphold this good reputation…
First of all, it’s got a beautiful old classic hotel lobby with polite receptionists, ready to point you towards the direction of the dark entrance.
Secondly, the setting is pretty historical (from 1913) and unique of its kind. From the bar, to the piano playing jazz, the bookshelves all around to the comfortable Chesterfield chairs. A true feeling of being back in time!
It will be obvious to everyone that the concept is drinks and cocktails, and I would say that a good whisky is attractive in this kind of en environment.
It’s absolutely a visit worth, even if you only drink sodas.
