First of all, you can’t book a table and it’s often crowded, so just a heads up to know you’ll be waiting during rush hour. On the other hand, here is where I’ve had the best ramen in Stockholm and it was totally worth the wait.
I had a delicious vegetarian Kinoko bowl last time I was here. What is really nice to have as an option, is that you can add extra tofu or other ingredients to your dish if you like, which I did.
Everything tastes so fresh and is made with care. They have a Japanese imported ramen machine, plus professional chefs and eager staff that really does the trick. They’re all very kind and helpful. Once you get a table or a spot at the bar, you get full attention.
I’ve only been here for dinner, but recently they opened their doors during lunch hours too and do takeaway orders.
As Ai Ramen is based in the heart of Söder and close to Medborgarplatsen, it’s a really nice food pitstop to do if you go to e.g. Victoria cinema, or hang out around Slussen later on!
Update: There is an ‘Ai Ramen Klara’ now too, which is close to central station! (check the website)
