Pervomaiskie Prudy is a lakeside recreation spot in the lower part of Almaty that blends a bit of everything: nature, water activities and relaxed summer energy. It’s not a luxury resort by any means, but it has heart—and plenty to do.
You can rent a floating house, chill in a private gazebo, or take a dip in the lake or pool. There are three cafés/bars on site, serving up casual food and ice cream for a hot day. Want to move around? Hop on a rental e-scooter, go wakeboarding, or kayak across the lake.
One of the most memorable features is the set of floating wooden bridges, made of round wooden platforms that sway as you jump from one to the next.
The place does get busy on weekends, and it’s not the cleanest spot in town—but that’s part of its laid-back, slightly rough-around-the-edges charm. It's where locals go when they want a quick getaway without actually leaving the city.
If you’re up for a casual day with a mix of swimming, snacking, and spontaneous adventure, Pervomaiskie Prudy is a fun kind of escape
