Salam Bro is a local fast-food network offering a standard range of burgers, sandwiches and other kinds of classic fast-food snacks. The one located at the corner of Auezov and Tole Bi streets (Auezov 26) attracted my attention not only because of its great, comfy location, but also because of the nice view from the window. The interior is nice and stylish.
I really enjoyed the casual style of eating and the quick service of the place. There are barely 5 small tables inside, but it makes the cafe cozier, however, many people order takeaway food. Salam Bro would be the ideal choice if you want some fast and affordable food, especially if you are on your way hurrying somewhere afterwards.
The menu includes some basic stuff that you can see at the most popular international and local fast-food franchises in Almaty, usually it's at least 3 types of 'burgers', with beef, chicken and cheese and the standard combo packages that offer a drink and potato chips together at a slightly reduced price. Nothing special, same as everywhere, but Salam Bro's style is being 'standard' for a slightly cheaper price and faster service, which really makes it authentic and so popular among locals!
I would also add that Salam Bro is when the quantity matters. You can easily find them in Almaty and its region. When we were hungry in Charyn Canyon there was only a traditional expensive tourist-oriented restaurant and Salam Bro. Guess which one we chose?
