Having a range of food to pick from while ordering, I used to rarely order pizza. Mostly because it is really hard to find a pizza that has the perfect crust and toppings. This changed during corona for me. With the saying "support your locals" I thought let's order food from the pizza place nearby, Mangiassai. We had no clue what to expect, but it definitely changed my view of pizza in Amsterdam.
Mangiassai is this very lovely Italian place, where all of the pizza makers speak Italian. Coming in and hearing them speak, feels like you have a small break from reality, and you are surrounded by an Italian family. Let's just say they changed the game for me, my roommates, and my clothing size. When you arrive in the hallway of our apartment, most likely there will be some pizza boxes from Mangiassai. What do we recommend? Close your eyes and pick blindly. I can promise that all the pizzas are definitely worth the try!
