Joe Penas has been around for as long as I can remember; I've visited the place years ago and it has always lingered around in my mind - there's something about the name that's distinguished. Every once in a while I get a craving for GOOD quesadillas, and while I've discovered some wonderful places away from Beirut, sometimes I want something closer. Joe Penas is that place.

With its unique, cozy decor coupled with friendly service and delightful food, Joe Penas is sure to keep you coming back for more. Upon arrival, you can be seated indoors or outdoors in their garden.

Once seated, you're served chips and salsa (on the house!). The menu offers a diverse range of Mexican and Tex-Mex items like Tacos, Quesadillas, Fajita, and Burrito. Their bar menu also includes Margaritas and Daquiries, as well as international cocktails and local drinks. I've tried the quesadillas and the fajitas; for the former, I thought the portion was a bit small, but once paired with another dish it's enough. The chicken in the fajita is juicy and has a lot of flavors and it comes with all you need to make it into the perfect wrap!

On weekends, make sure to have a reservation as it gets packed. The place also sometimes hosts live performances or DJs. If you're looking for some quiet, then pass by early in the evening - It's a place not to be missed!
