Walking up Beacon Street towards Kenmore Square, you'll see "BAR" emblazoned in huge, bold letters on a billboard over a small restaurant. If you decide to go inside, you'll discover a beautiful wooden interior, a bamboo-surrounded backyard patio, and a menu to die for.
I honestly cannot get enough of Audobon. They have a great collection of craft beers and cocktails, and their seasonal menus are filled with eclectic, delicious plates such as grilled octopus, watermelon gazpacho and breakfast lasagna. Food is served quickly, and tastes fresh and delicious. If you're lucky enough to stop by for Sunday Brunch, you can try out my personal favorite, the Toad in the Hole. There are no toads involved, luckily, it's just a magical combination of egg, cheese, toast and avocado. If you want something with a more appetizing name, the Brioche French Toast is also absolutely amazing, topped with fresh berries and thick whipped cream.
Brunch aside, Audubon is a great place to grab a late night drink. It's never overly crowded, and the bartenders are fast, attentive, and friendly. All in all, I'd recommend Audubon for food or drink at any time of day!
