Ok, so the Clayroom is my go-to for weekend dates with my boyfriend, hangouts with friends, family visits, and everything in between. It's great because it's something that everyone can enjoy, no matter your age or artistic talents. You simply go in, talk to the friendly and wonderful employees, make your choice of pottery off the shelf, and get painting!
They have everything you can imagine in terms of what you want to paint, from teapots to ornaments to piggy banks and sooo much more. They have tons of cartoonish options that appeal to kids, so it's great for family outings. However, it's also perfect for an evening date, as their BYOB policy allows you to enjoy your favorite bottle of wine while painting the perfect addition to your kitchenware.
If you want to plan a night in advance rather than showing up spontaneously, no worries: the Clayroom not only takes reservations, but has regular events. Tuesday Nights are Pizza Nights, where you pay the exact same price as any other day but have the added plus of free pizza! Wednesday Nights 18:00-22:00 they have Wine and Cheese Nights (21+), where for a small extra fee you're treated to a bottle of wine along with cheese, fruit, and crackers (and in my experience, even cookies!).
