Every Saturday and Sunday, between 10-3 pm, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba hosts one of the most enjoyable brunches in the city. This restaurant is known for tapas and being able to have brunch tapas is nothing short of delightful. The crowd is always diverse, with groups of old friends, groups of co-workers, baby showers, families, old, young and above all happy Chicagoans and visitors. Treat this brunch as a marathon, not a sprint.
I recommend starting with an order of the short stack for each member at the table. The pitcher of cava sangria is a great drink to share for the table — or opt for the Bloody Mary bar, which can be a meal in itself. Come back to the table with shrimp and bacon in your Bloody and your table mates will be envious. You will never feel rushed here, and you can order at will if you notice something on the menu that sounds delicious.
This is a “Lettuce entertain you” restaurant, so if you want to earn points toward a reward, ask for information — if you are not already a member.
