It's Sunday and therefore brunch time!
For me, the most important (next to the bread) is my pain au chocolat, but getting a chocolate croissant like in France isn't easy at all.
However, sometimes you can get lucky - a small pâtisserie opened right next to my place, specializing on... croissants!!! Here you can get your crispy, warm and fluffy croissant almost every day - be it vegan, with almond crème, with eggplant and halloumi and many more. When you enter the street, you can already smell the freshly baked croissants hundreds of meters away, and it's hard to pass without getting one!
Every time I go, I'm super excited if they have a new special like the Pestobello - pesto, parmesan, and portobello mushrooms, or the Bicolor with red berries and mascarpone.
If you ever want to meet me, just wait on a Sunday in front of the café. There is no brunch without a Goodchild croissant!
P.S. They do have other pastry, but I'm so focused on my croissants, I've never managed to try something other than the croissants and the so-called Cruffins - a mix of croissant and muffin. If you're into chocolate, try the Chocolate Cruffin as well! The calories are worth it.
