Maybe it is because I am from a small town, but every now and then it is nice to be able to step out of the hustle and bustle of city life. Fortunately you do not have to step too far as Trinity College is a lovely option for those looking for a quiet spot in the city centre.
I love Trinity College at around 18:30/19:00 in the evening when it is beginning to quieten down and the front square is empty. If I am ever working late, I love to get a tea or coffee to go and sit on one of the steps in front of the dining hall and watch the world go by.
Trinity College is home to the Book of Kells which is an ancient manuscript that attracts visitors from all over the world, it is also home to a beautiful library known as the Long Room. I would absolutely recommend visiting the Book of Kells but if you're looking for quiet spot in the early evening, it is certainly worth popping in to Trinity College. If you do wish to visit the Book of Kells, it is recommended to by fast track tickets online as the queues can be very long!
