After or before visiting a farmers or Bratwurst (good German pork sausage with lots of mustard!) stand, you may feel a little bit thirsty.
The best way to solve this problem is to grab yourself a glass of the delicious Rheingau-Riesling (white-wine, Germany's best!) at the "Weinstand" on the east corner of our weekly farmers market at "Konstablerwache" square.
You will often find me there with my friends after a shopping invasion at the "Zeil" or just for spontaneous tasting of the newly arrived wines. Anyhow it is the “place to be” on Saturdays to exchange the latest gossip, get or stay in touch with new people or old friends and acquaintances.
Prices are fair: you can get a glass filled to the brim with fine wine for € 2.70. Premium wines go for around € 4 - 5. And don't forget the Bratwurst (2.50 €) or at the tasty veggie alternative -- potato pancake with apple sauce "Kartoffelpuffer mit Apfelmus" (3€). The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the German red-wine - go for the white one!
