The best time to visit this place is late spring, summer or early autumn. That’s because the strongest point of this spot is a beautiful garden, where you can sit for a chit-chat with a cup of lemonade and listen to the birds singing.
Why is this garden so special? It’s partially a historical place, as it’s located at the backyard of one of the townhouses. It used to belong to Józef Mehofer – a local artist, famous for creating in the spirit of the art nouveau style. The name of the cafe was also inspired by this Cracovian. By the way, his house is a place you should explore too! You can buy tickets at the entrance.
Back on topic – the menu of the cafe is quite regular. You can have a piece of cheesecake, coffee, tea or lemonade. However, most people don’t come here to experience top-notch cuisine – the key is in the peaceful ambience.
If you can visit this place after dusk, it has an even more specific atmosphere. I recommend ordering a bottle of wine and relaxing in the garden. If you want to chill but on a budget, here’s a tip – you can choose a carafe of home wine: it is cheaper yet still has a very nice taste and good quality.
During the colder months, the tables are taken away from the garden, but you still can take a walk and pop-in for a cup of something warm to drink inside the cafe.
