I can't deny I have a special thing for places connecting the two most sublime pleasures in life - yes, I'm talking literature and coffee. I already wrote about two cafe bookshops, Lokator and Microscup, but luckily, there's more! If you're planning to visit all books&coffee places in town in a quest to pick out your favorite one, I recommend starting your journey with De Revolutionibus, situated in the very heart of old Kraków.
De Revolutionibus is located on Bracka, a street usually associated with the city's artists and intellectuals. Several centuries ago, this track was most likely being crossed by Nicolaus Copernicus, who used to study at the local academy. The name is an extract from the title of his magnum opus, which turned out to be one of the most revolutionary science publications in history. As Copernicus managed to move the Earth, De Revolutionibus Books & Cafe moved Kraków's scientific, theological and philosophical debate forward. The place frequently hosts fascinating events, ex. meetings with Poland's greatest scientists and workshops for children and adults. And the cherry on top - their selection of both books and coffee beans is superb. Oh, and they offer books and English, too!
Come over, browse the shelves, sit down with a treat prepared with love and enjoy the moment. And remember, as you're surrounded by great minds and thoughts - who knows what kind of questions and answers you might encounter there?
