Have you watched Stanger Things recently and felt like going to an arcade, but you are stuck in 21st-century Poland? That is not a problem anymore, thanks to the Krakow Arcade Museum on Centralna St.
The place has a 'museum' in the title, but don’t be fooled. There’s none of that ‘don’t touch the exhibits’ nonsense. If you’re coming into the Krakow Arcade Museum, you are going to play your brains out! There are over 100 different games gathered, from the classics like Pacman to more of the ‘collector’s items.
The museum offers some discounts - a different one every day. For instance, on Mondays all students can get a full day ticket for a price of 1 hour, on Thursdays, it’s time for corporations’ employees! On top of that, they have pretty cool merchandise available to buy for their frequent visitors.
The Arcade is located off-center, it takes about 20 minutes by tram, but once you get there, there’s plenty for you to do. The hangar that hosts the museum, also includes a trampoline park, a climbing wall, and a pretty nice café (they serve delicious vegan cakes there). I usually make a day of it! Inside the Arcade you can have a drink and some snacks, for which there’s a sitting area if you get tired of all the breaking of your records.
The Krakow Arcade Museum, is a great place to spend a rainy day, meet up with friends, or perhaps organize your next birthday party?
