Sababa is a new addition to the speakeasy bar scene. Great contemporary interiors mixed with a raw and historic space are a great backdrop to enjoy a cocktail with rose water or any of the other recommended drinks on the short but sufficient menu. The drinks are inspired by the historic setting of the bar in the Jewish Quarter as well as the Middle East.
I was looking to get away from the bar scene in Krakow one evening and wanted to enjoy a real treat. I heard about Sababa and its cocktails and decided to make my way to number 2. Once there I was a bit lost but noticed some well-dressed individuals were going up a flight of stairs. Then I saw a small sign leading to Sababa at the top of the stairwell (its above Hamsa).
I was curious about what the place had to offer other than great cocktails and was told that on weekends you can expect DJs and a party into the early hours of the next morning. This is a great place to spend the evening or drop by for a few truly good cocktails before heading out to one of the nearby bars in Kazimierz, which is exactly what I did that evening.
