The fact that Kyiv has a metro almost everyone knows. But not everyone knows that metro stations can be a true architectural wonder. This refers also to the Arsenalna Metro Station (the station you need if you are going to the World War II Museum). If you want to see the architectural beauty of Arsenalna Metro Station, you have to be prepared for a long ride, for it is almost 106 meters deep and is the deepest metro station in the world. This ride will take a couple of minutes! But when you are down there, you’ll enjoy marble sculptures on the walls and monumental architecture from the times of the Soviet Union. And this just in the middle of a modern metropolis!
I know that not everyone has the courage to use the metro but this experience is worth the crowds and rush! You’ll be amazed by the architecture of Arsenalna Metro Station as well as by that feeling of being 106 meters underground.
