La Santa Gula, as its name explains (The Holly Glutton) is a place where you can’t go if you tend to feel guilty after a kinky meal.
The speciality of this place is the variety of hamburgers, all named after the seven deadly sins. I always ask for “la avara” (avarice): it is my absolutely favourite, pure and juicy meat.
It is not very cheap but it is not expensive compared to the quality of the food and service. I also love the experience of finding my seat, but not before I walk through the kitchen to get there.
They also have some veggie options; some people say that they serve the best vegetarian hamburger here.
La Santa Gula is owned by a Maltese guy named Mark that will always make you feel very welcomed; maybe he will even tell you about how his recipes are inspired by his mom. Mark is a little loud but it doesn’t matter that much because at the end of your meal he will probably give you free profiteroles.
