Of all of the Thai places in New York City, Der Krung in Hell’s Kitchen is by far my favorite. An authentic Thai gem tucked in between the host of other restaurants Hell’s Kitchen boasts. The dining space is small and cozy, but the menu, in contrast, is large and the flavors in the food even more so. The selection of foods caters to every dining preference from vegetarian to gluten free.
One of the best things about Der Krung is the lunch special. For $9.75 (certain preferences add an additional charge), you get a soup or salad and your lunch entrée. Everyone knows how expensive New York City can be, however, Der Krung offers some of the best food I’ve ever had for prices that are unheard of in most of the city! Add a Thai iced tea or a glass of wine or beer and you’ve got yourself a meal!
