There is no other venue quite like House of Yes, an indoor-outdoor space in Bushwick that houses everything from roller skating to trapeze artists. Known for over-the-top costume parties, variety shows and concerts, House of Yes serves the greater community well with events throughout the week and weekend.
After starting as an art and performance community and event space and changing ownership and locations a few times, House of Yes has evolved into the colorful and eclectic space it is now. Dancing, enjoying life, and expressing yourself are widely encouraged at House of Yes, creating a welcoming environment for all.
I find out about their events on Facebook, and try to get their free before 11 pm on Friday tickets before they run out. (They are very strict about this policy, and will charge you if you get to the door starting at 11:01.) There is also usually a long line on the weekends, that is more manageable if you go early. However, with a constant rotation of interesting events and a guaranteed night of fun, House of Yes keeps me coming back for more and more.
