Retro arcade games and drinks? Barcade on St. Marks Place has both! While arcades may not be as popular as they once were, you still get the opportunity to play the best of the best. Games from Galaga to Pac-Man, to pinball, are all available. Machines around the room dispense tokens for gameplay. Barcade also boasts a surprisingly large range of craft beers, mostly local, to choose from, as well as a full bar to make whatever you can imagine. There are a few locations so make sure to check out their website to see if one is closer to you!
Barcade is a great place to meet other people, whether you’re there with a group or by yourself. I personally love this bar because I grew up playing a lot of these games with my friends and family and they are hard to find anymore. Stepping into this bar almost makes you feel like you’re traveling back in time a few decades. Challenging other people is also a great way to meet some of the locals and get to know one another. They also host parties from time to time!
