Run from a small unit, this tiny business premises is typical of Paris’s 11th district, the 11th being known for its artisan-sized retailers.
This particular business - Maison POS - is a fruit & veg seller, focused on organic fresh produce, bit also carries an array of conserved foodstuffs at tasty prices for different budgets. It's a pleasure pantry where you can discover tastes from local suppliers - check the interior photo on the main spot - but also further afield.
As a go-to place, it's the €5 'formule midi' (in English, it's Meal Deal) which draws me in by the tastebuds! The fiver gets you a pot of fresh soup, cooked up daily in the enormous Dutch oven; then choose a piece of fruit, usually 'une banane, une pomme ou une poire' (banana, apple or pear); add a yogurt, of which I go for 'le riz au lait' (rice pudding) variety; all that, plus an empanada, either spicy sausage, cheese or there's a veggie choice. It's such a great find (check the blog post pic).
