Quartier rouge (which, besides the pole-dance at the entrance, has nothing to do with the Red light district), located in the 2oth, is your typical French bar/brasserie that offers a great selection of wine, aperitifs and home-cooked food.
During the day, you'll find locals enjoying a quick caffè au comptoir, as well as people working or reading. At night, around 18/19, the bar starts to fill up with people coming to enjoy a drink with friends. Hard to blame them, given the lovely interior and the very friendly staff. As hinted in the name, the bar is all painted red, but most of the decor is given by the random objects, photos, and books scattered all about (most remarkably, the ironing board hung up against the wall).
I usually go on Sunday nights, when they religiously host jam concerts followed by a jam session, from 18:30 to 21:30. The musicians perform in a little space dedicated to them, and every time I've been, the level was, to say the least, insane. If the band changes quite often, you can always find familiar faces who come to listen (me included).
A little heads up, there are loads of Italians, so for those who want to practice their speaking skills or find fellow patriots, it's the perfect occasion. I also recommend going early because the place fills up very, very quickly, and you lose a bit of the experience. They also host other events during the week (such as Friday and Saturday oysters, local exhibitions...).
